Tet

Bringing in the "REAL" New Year....

Robert met my parents. And to show you how nervous I was..I didn't get a clear picture...and took a picture of his butt...

I'm still in a fog, I don't recall the last time I was nervous as I was.

He was perfectly fine and Mom and Dad, well, they are awesome.

There was a point when I zoned out and didn't translate anymore...Mom busted out her english.

Whatttttttttttttttttttt  !!! How awesome is that?

Cheers and surely more picture will come shortly.

I love you all! Good Health and Good Luck for us all!!!

25 days

Somewhere, they say it takes 21 days to form a habit.  That somewhere/somebody is Lisa.

It has been 25 straight days that I have forced myself to go to the park.

Being the lucky girl that I am, I have tremendous support and encouragement.
I could NEVER be that girl on The Biggest Loser crying about how no one cares or how I never had support. Nope, I have a great group of people in my life.

Which means....With a lot of Duran Duran music and talking to myself to go go go to the PARK....

Well, I wanted a headstart to the New Year so I started my Park-Walks on December 30, 2013.
Today is January 23, 2014.
I have logged in ...Wait for it...

For the 25 days, I have walked 86.9 miles.
Now, to understand how I feel, the months of July 2013 to November 2013, I only walked a total of 60 miles.

I am far from my goal, but hearing Lisa say, Chi Thu, "It takes 21 days to form a habit..."
Well, I doubted her everyday until today.
Today, I had to go to the park during lunch time, because the evening seems to be getting pretty bad.
Even though I had to go back to work with damp hair (sprinkled rain). I didn't care.
And I didn't hear Lisa whisper anymore. hahaha

Well, here's another thing. I just wanted to be active again. And guess what? Today is also the day, my scale shows that I have lost at least 10 lbs.
In 25 days
;-)

I haven't even started eating healthy but MOVING and staying active, well, my body needs it.

So, I lost all my holiday weight from November to December. Now I can start losing the other parts...

Let  me add, there's a lot I have to lose, AGAIN...The story of my life.

Running

Ok maybe I'm not at jogging pace yet, more like walk, walk a little faster, than ok, than just find a way to move my bootie down the path...

Here's my most played song list for my walking adventures.

I'm a creature of habit, I'll listen to this list for a month and then I'll listen to another list for another straight month.

Thank goodness for music. It makes walking so much more do-
able.

Fitness Challenge 2014

Lazy blogger here.
If this is any indication of how I am going to do on my new challenge with my family, and their friends...
I'm in real trouble.

Surely Jimmy or Michael will do a better blog than I.

But in quick summary, after the gang was finalizing some details (a great read in the office) about punishment payouts and what constitutes a work out....Minimum 12 workout activities for a month, minimum 20 minutes..

These are just snippets of the conversations...

Mel:
Okay, here's my question: (Not saying that this will be me, but just wanted to clarify...)

Is it $20 for EVERY month I don't meet the minimum? Or $20 for the FIRST month, and then I'm out of the running period, so who cares?

Also, perhaps the payout should still go to EVERYONE? That way, there's still incentive to keep going. Or is the incentive purely to not pay? I can see the merits of both ways, just a thought.

Am I asking too many questions?

WHY IS MY GYM CLOSED ON NEW YEARS EVE AT 1 PM AND CLOSED NEW YEARS EVE?! DON'T THEY KNOW ABOUT NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS?!

Thomas:
Lets make it like Tet Stacks, complete with side bets and a coin flip at the end of the month that could potentially reverse who owes money! We should really bring Anh Vien onboard to organize all this.

JK, I agree with the monthly payout method.

Jimmy:
So let's vote... at the end of the year the money will be:
A. split among the entire group
B. split among the awesome people who never had to pay (original proposal)

Jennifer:
B. Only the awesome people...

Nesbitt:
Only people who completed.  It is a reward.  If you're not first, you're last.

BUT.........

Workouts of more than 20 minutes even on the same day will count as two separate activates? Another question by MELLY....

Michael :
Definitely counts as two!  Way to go Mel!

Then my conversations with Rob...You see, we are still in the part of our relationship that ROB...Will not admit that I am EXERCISED Challenged. He still has "NEW-Couple Goggles" on and thinks I am perfect.(Lucky me, but my bootie keeps growing)
The only thing he is willing to say is..."Well, if you feel that you must do it for your health, I will support you...I will YELL at you"
Then, I realize we have been dating a bit longer than I thought because, he's now looking for legalese ways for me to not FAIL!
