Room Parent...GF?

I totally felt like a mom (stepmom) today. It feels good.
The whole room parent thing for Valentines Day was my gig because Cameron was out sick so someone had to stay home while I got to do the fun stuff.

I was the kid that never had mom or dad attend these functions. So I can understand these kiddos who were sad that their parent didn't show. (I was never sad about it when I was young cause I knew Mom was home with Lisa and then David...Mel came along when I was too old to care..hahaha)

Anyways I totally lied to the two little girls saying maybe their parent was stuck out in that horrible long line in the office. One girl bought my story, the other one was still sad. (She's so pretty too, gonna be a knock out when she hits high school).

Then there was one that is obviously in love with Holden. The mom introduced herself to me and I can tell this girl is going to start dating very early...hahahah

It was a success.

But how does one person handle eighteen 6 year olds and I barely can handle a 10 and a 6 year old with help?
Teachers are amazing.

This is Holden , possible the class clown. But all these kids lined up their chair to sit next to him. xoxox
The Little Blonde braided girl was the sad little girl who wanted me to find her mom in the line. She told me her hair is short and brown.

Happy Birthday Dad !

Zoo

My 1st Zoo outing with the boys.

Went to see the new gorilla exhibit.
It was nice. Wished we got to visit them in their dayroom for one on one interaction.

Beautiful day, a little chilly, until you keep walking the zoo grounds and it eventually felt, perfect.

Good Night

Currently my favorite picture of my trio.
Just ending a nice night of doing...NOTHING....

Return of The Jedi

We watched with the boys. (Jabba The Hut is just gross !)
I am liking it that the boys really wanted to do movie night on a Thursday at my house.

It's a big deal because that meant that these boys actually did their homework on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday instead of waiting for Thursday to do a weeks worth.
I was very proud of Cameron for taking the initiative since he is dyslexic and reading is a BITCH to do.
Once you are diagnosed with dyslexia, the school gives you less spelling words and other considerations to help with homework.

As for Holden, he wasn't too interested in the Return of the Jedi except for the fact he was playing his Star Wars Legos while watching until the Ewoks came on. He loved the Ewoks!

This is Holden's drawing of Jabba The Hut with a purple Princess Leia on a leash. You can see on the left is Luke Skywalker with his green light saber and Han Solo on top trying to help. I love the artwork of young children.

It was a nice evening letting boys chill and Robert got to snooze a little.

Wow, I like Darth Vader but I am embarrass to say, I always thought it was DARK Vadar.  ooppss

And I thought I was a fan.
